ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Circuit Attorney’s Office has issued warrants in connection to a murder in the 3300 block of Texas last month.

Police say 25-year-old Cory Palmer is connected to a shooting that occurred in late August resulting in the death of 27-year-old Joshua Buie.

Palmer’s warrants were issued for first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of armed criminal action.

A call was received on August 30 around 7:30 p.m. in reference to a shooting. Once officers arrived they observed a vehicle fleeing the area.

According to police, Buie drove himself to the hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds to his chest, back, flank, buttocks and foot. Buie was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

A 40-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her thighs and was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.

Police located some of the victims and the Dodge Charger at an area hospital sometime later.

A third victim was found at the hospital. Police say the 27-year-old unidentified male was not shot, but was being treated for an asthma attack. The man was found to have unrelated outstanding warrants and was booked.

An investigation revealed the suspects were involved in drug activity and were angry about missing money. One suspect was taken into custody. A firearm was recovered in his possession.

Palmer is being held on a $1,000,000 cash-only bond.
