FENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A 24-year-old man was charged with stealing merchandise at the Walmart in Fenton on two different occasions in June 2015.

On June 12, Steven Fisher put three televisions in a shopping cart, loaded them into a Pontiac convertible and drove away, court records say. Two days later, Fisher returned to the same Walmart and loaded a fire safe and numerous electronic items into a pickup truck and drove away.

The same truck returned to the store later that day and the owner of the truck told police that Fisher borrowed his truck earlier that day.

Fisher was arrested several weeks later and confessed to both thefts.

He said he stole all of the merchandise to support his addiction to crystal methamphetamine, according to court records.
