ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - A man was shot while driving eastbound on Interstate 70 in north St. Louis Thursday night, police said.
A man in his 20’s was shot twice in the back while driving near the West Florissant exit around 8:30 p.m. Police said the victim is a known gang member and was the shooter's intended target.
After being shot, the man got out of his car and ran to a home in the 6100 block of North Broadway where someone called for help, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
This is the fourth shooting along the stretch of interstate in the last year.
