KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in Kirkwood arrested a woman in possession of 280 grams of methamphetamine Thursday.

According to police, 29-year-old Sarah Montgomery attempted to purchase pseudoephedrine 44 times within the past year.

After witnessing Montgomery walk out of the store officers conducted a record check that revealed she had active warrants. She was then stopped after entering her vehicle and arrested.

While searching the suspects’ car police recovered several items that are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine, including muriatic acid, pseudoephedrine, camping lighter fluid, tubing, and a plastic soda bottle.

The plastic soda bottle contained a liquid that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Montgomery has been charged with trafficking in the first degree, a Class A felony and possession of methamphetamine with intention to manufacture, a Class D felony.
