NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.COM) – Police launched a homicide investigation in Castle Point after a man was found shot to death inside a car Tuesday morning.

Darryl Mull, 22, was found inside a vehicle in the 10000 block of Count in Castle Point at 1:50 a.m.

Mull was discovered slumped in the driver's side front seat. He appeared to have multiple fatal gunshot wounds to his head. The man was lying dead in the street when News 4 arrived on the scene. 

Neighbors told News 4 about 10:30 Monday night they heard around 10 gunshots fired. They said after the gunfire stopped, they looked outside to find a man shot dead. Residents also said this is another blow for a neighborhood that regularly deals with crime. 

The details surrounding the shooting have not been released. Police said they have no leads yet on what happened or where to start looking for suspects, but the investigation is still early and active.
