KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – An Arnold man is facing charges after allegedly stealing an ambulance from St. Anthony’s Hospital.

Mark Ferry, 36, is charged with one count of stealing a motor vehicle and one count of second-degree burglary after a witness identified him on video surveillance as the person who entered the ambulance and drove it away from the hospital Friday afternoon, according to police.

After stealing the ambulance, police said, Ferry drove the vehicle to the 5300 block of Ferbet. A woman reported to police that the ambulance was parked in her driveway. When authorities arrived at the home, they saw a shattered rear glass door and found Ferry inside with the keys to the ambulance in his pockets.

Inside the stolen ambulance, authorities found bags of clothing and medications with the suspect’s name on them, police said.

Ferry is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
