ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A St. Charles County Department of Corrections officer is accused of have sexual contact with an inmate.

Nathaniel Dean Johnson,33, faces deviate sexual intercourse charges for having sexual contact with a female inmate at the St. Charles County jail in early June.

Sex therapist Angela Skurtu said sexual contact between a guard and prisoner cannot be considered consensual because one person has authority over the other.

"They are not in a position of equality. That means they cannot consent legally, and there will be ramifications," said Skurtu.

Johnson worked in various positions for the Francis Howell School District from 2005 until 2012. He was a wrestling coach and also assisted with a summer program for middle school students.
