ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Three men were standing in front of a north St. Louis home when someone approached them and started shooting early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the men were standing next to a vehicle in the 1100 block of Angelica when the suspect approached them and begin firing shots just after 1 a.m.

After the suspect fired at the victims, a 26-year-old man pulled a handgun out of his vehicle and fired back towards the suspect. Authorities believe the suspect was not struck by the gunfire.

A 28-year-old man, who owns the vehicle the victims were standing in front of, was struck in the shoulder by one of the suspect’s bullets during the incident. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
