(KMOV.com) – A man is facing charges for allegedly robbing a man and then fatally shooting him the next day in North County.

Curtiss Fortune, 26 is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, robbery, and armed criminal action.

Witnesses told police Fortune robbed Kevin McCombs, 29, at gunpoint on August 31. The next day, Fortune allegedly shot McCombs and another victim in a drive-by shooting in the 2700 block of Wheaton. McCombs was taken to a hospital but later died. The condition of the second victim is unknown.

Fortune is being held in the St. Louis County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond.
