ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( – For the fifth time in less than a year a band’s van was broken into in St. Louis.

The latest incident occurred when the band Love Canon stopped for lunch at the Schlafly Tap Room Tuesday afternoon.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the band parked their van in the lot at 2100 Locust Street and when they returned about an hour later they noticed the passenger door lock had been broken. Among the stolen items were a 60-pound box full of cables, small travel guitar, several backpacks, clothing and laptops.

The band, which is based out of Virginia, lost roughly $20,000 worth of merchandise to the thieves.

Authorities did take a report of the incident, but said there is little information about the identity of those behind the theft.
