WASHINGTON, MO (KMOV.com) – Police in Washington are investigating a truck driver who admitted to taking provocative photos of underage girls.

According to police, a 13-year-old Washington Middle School student told her school counselor that she and a 10-year-old friend were asked to wear lingerie and pose in a man’s basement.

The situation has many worried, including Washington resident Joe Heather. Heather’s grandchildren also attend Washington Middle School.

"Well I have grandchildren that age it's very concerning," said Heather.

Police say the 43-year-old man is a truck driver, but has a photo studio in the basement of his home in the 300 block of Stafford Street.

"Right now anyway it appears it might not be illegal but certainly immoral. Uh, they were in some compromising attire," said Washington Police Department Chief Kenneth Hahn.

The girls told police the man fed them pizza and soda. He then took photos of them wearing lingerie and other provocative clothing.

The girls were at his home for a total of five hours. Police have confiscated the man’s computer and recovered printed photos that detectives are going through.

Investigators will conduct a thorough search of the hard drive.

"They'll look for any photos of other children who may have become involved like that, any child pornography and things of that nature. It certainly raises a red flag," said Chief Kenneth Hahn.

Detectives are unsure if this is an isolated incident, but they worry they may find more pictures of underage girls who may not have told anyone.
