NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A mother is looking for answers after her 18-year-old son was killed during a triple shooting in north St. Louis Tuesday night.

Damon Willey, of the 8400 block of Halls Ferry, was standing outside with three other people in the 8400 block of Newby when two unknown suspects began firing shots around 9:30 p.m.

After the suspects ran from the scene, one of the victims reported seeing Willey running to the 1200 block of McLaran, where he was pronounced dead.

Willey sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder, police said.

"When this happened to him I was told he was running home, he was running home to me," said Shaulawn Bell, the 18-year-old's mother.

Bell said her son was just days away from signing up for the military and had a passion for science.

"I just want my son, you know. This is hard for me.. My son didn't deserve this, not this one," said Bell.

Two other victims, both 17, were shot during the incident. One of the victims was shot in the chest and elbow and listed in critical, unstable condition. The other sustained a gunshot wound to his hip and was listed in stable condition.

The fourth man was not injured during the shooting.

According to police, one of the suspects has been identified and placed as wanted.

The investigation is ongoing.
