WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Wenztville is adding lighting to its tornado sirens so those who have trouble hearing know dangerous weather is nearby.

LED lights are currently being added to some sirens in the St. Charles County city. Some St. Charles County residents have been upset with the performance of sirens in the past.

“It’s not a cure all or fix all, it is just an additional tool to help residents and business during severe weather,” said Acting Wenztville Police Chief Kevin Pyatt.

Eventually, LED lights will be installed on all the tornado sirens in Wentzville.
