ST.  LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man is dead and a woman injured after a double shooting occurred in south St. Louis Sunday night around 7:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Texas.

According to police, 27-year-old Joshua Buie drove himself to the hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds to his chest, back, flank, buttocks and foot. Buie was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

A 40-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her thighs and was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.

When officers arrived to the scene they observed a white Dodge Charger flee the area. Police attempted to follow the vehicle, but lost sight of it.

Following the shooting, police swarmed a gas station on Jefferson and Utah, roughly one block away, with guns drawn. Authorities said they were looking for the suspect but did not find anyone.

Police located some of the victims and the Dodge Charger at an area hospital sometime later.

A third victim was found at the hospital. Police say the 27-year-old unidentified male was not shot, but was being treated for an asthma attack. The man was found to have unrelated outstanding warrants and was booked.

An investigation revealed the suspects were involved in drug activity and were angry about missing money. One suspect was taken into custody. A firearm was recovered in his possession.

Police are still searching for the second suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
