Owner of business in Union accused of pocketing money meant for clients

UNION (KMOV.com) -

The owner of business that was raided by the FBI in August, 2015 is facing charges for allegedly pocketing money meant for clients.

Stuart Millner, 76, was recently charged with wire fraud.

Millner's company, Stuart Millner and Associates, has held auctions for major corporations across the country. The company’s success has allowed Millner to afford a six-bedroom home in Union. It’s now on the market with an asking price of $1.6 million.

Sources close to investigation say Millner’s wealth came in part from him allegedly keeping more of the proceeds of auctions than he was supposed to. The money was supposed to go to clients.

When clients would complain about not getting all the money that was promised, Millner allegedly accused employees of stealing it.

News 4 reached out to Millner's attorney for comment, but he did return repeated calls.
