O'FALLON, Mo. (KMOV.com) - A Florissant man turned himself in to police Thursday after the St. Claire County State's Attorney issued warrants Tuesday alleging the man behaved inappropriately in the presence of a minor.
Ronald A. Fernandez, 52, faces one count of unlawful restraint and one count of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the O'Fallon Police Department, which was first reported August 14, 2015.
Police records said Fernandez allegedly made several inappropriate sexual comments to a 14-year-old male in a bathroom at the O'Fallon, Illinois Community Park. Fernandez never made physical contact with the victim, but told the victim to stay in the restroom. During that time, court documents said Fernandez allegedly performed a lewd act in front of the victim.
Fernandez surrendered himself to O’Fallon Police Thursday. His bond was set at $30,000. He was formally booked, posted the required cash as bond and was released from custody pending a future court appearance.
