Homicide investigating after man fatally shot in north St. Louis

NORTH ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOV.com) – Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot in north St. Louis Wednesday evening.

The victim, 27-year-old Terrence Perkins was found unresponsive on the street near the intersection of Goodfellow and Amelia around 5:20 p.m. 

Perkins sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, flank, and arm. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

A short time later, a second man arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds to his flank and forearm. He was taken into surgery and listed in critical, stable condition.

A witness reported seeing Perkins sitting inside his parked vehicle talking with at least one subject before hearing gunfire. Perkins was then seen collapsing next to his vehicle.

Police recovered a firearm and suspected narcotics from the victim’s vehicle. Police believe the two incidents are connected.
