Witnesses lead police to Collinsville burglary suspects

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A 20-year-old and unnamed juvenile are suspected of burglarizing a home in Collinsville.

At 11:19 a.m. on August 11, the suspects were allegedly seen wearing gloves, carrying a large bag and an extremely large flat screen television on South Street towards Seminary. Police reported several witnesses saw the pair traveling along various roads until they were last seen carrying the items into an apartment in the 200 block of South Morrison.

When officers arrived at the apartment and made contact with the suspects, one of them fled on foot and was taken into custody in the 200 block of Reed Avenue, according to police. The other suspect was detained at the apartment.

Items believed to have been stolen during numerous vehicle burglaries and a residence were recovered inside the apartment, police said.

Johnathan T. Robinson has been charged with one count of residential burglary. His bond was set at $75,000.

Charges against the unidentified juvenile are pending.
