ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A $2,500 reward has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest in the robbery case of a Tuskegee Airman.

The car belonging to a 93-year-old man was found August 18 after the he was robbed and carjacked while attempting to visit his daughter August 16.

While driving to his daughter’s home the man got lost. When he stopped at McPherson and Sarah to call her, a suspect got into his car, grabbed money from his pocket and left. The suspect then entered a black, older model four-door vehicle and drove away, police said.

The victim followed the suspect but soon lost sight of him.

After losing the suspect, the victim stopped near Paige and Walton and asked two men for help. When he got out of the vehicle to speak with the men, the suspects got into his car and drove away.

According to police, an “alert citizen” found the victim's car in the 1200 block of Bayard.

Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
