ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Authorities are investigating after three people were shot during two separate incidents overnight in St. Louis.

At 9:10 Monday night, a man and woman were shot in the 700 block of Aubert.

Isaac Johnson, 30, was transported to the hospital after being shot in his side, torso and legs. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A few hours later, at 2 a.m., the 35-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to the leg in the 1400 block of Academy Avenue. The woman told police she was in the 700 block of Aubert attempting to buy illegal narcotics when she heard gunshots and realized she had been shot in the thigh. The victim told police she delayed reporting the incident because she did not believe the injury required medical attention. After reporting the incident, she was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Around 10:35 p.m. Monday, homicide was requested after a 36-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 5420 block of Wabada.

An investigation revealed the victim approached a homeowner and asked to use the telephone. The homeowner denied the request and contacted police. While on the phone with police, gunshots were heard outside the residence.

Police located the man and transported him to the hospital. He is listed in critical, unstable condition.

Authorities have not released any suspect descriptions.

Both investigations are ongoing.
