East St. Louis woman accused of entering home, using stun gun on resident

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A 20-year-old from East St. Louis is accused of entering a home, using a stun gun on a woman and damaging a vehicle.

Tamara J. Hawkins, of the 1600 block of East Belmont Avenue, allegedly entered a home in the 540 block of North 84th Street in June. After entering the home, police said, Hawkins shocked a woman with a stun gun and damaged a vehicle parked outside.

Hawkins was arrested on suspicion of home invasion, felony possession and criminal damage to property.

According to court documents, in 2012, Hawkins was convicted of aggravated domestic battery.
