ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A vehicle that was apparently carjacked late Thursday night in South St. Louis was involved in an accident Friday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of at lease one suspect.

Police said that around 11:00 p.m., six suspects approached a man who was sitting inside a parked vehicle at Pestalozzi and Arkansas. The suspects opened the victim’s vehicle door and struck him in the face, according to police. The suspects then reached across the victim, unbuckled his seat belt and pulled him from the vehicle. The victim told police he saw a champagne colored minivan following behind his stolen vehicle.

That vehicle, a champagne Toyota, was involved in a two-vehicle accident at Magnolia and Minnesota Friday.

A few minutes before Thursday's carjacking., a man was assaulted while riding his bicycle in the 3200 block of Magnolia. The victim told police he noticed a tan minivan riding behind him and one of the passengers pushed him. After being pushed, the victim ran into the back of a parked vehicle and sustained a laceration to his nose.

Roughly 40 minutes later, a tan minivan pulled alongside a man who was riding his bicycle in the 2500 block of Nebraska. The victim said two suspects jumped out of the suspect vehicle and one of them punched him in the face. Both suspects attempted to kick the victim before re-entering the suspect vehicle and driving away. The victim said he noticed several other people inside the suspect vehicle.

No other information about the accident was made immediately available. It is unknown if anyone else was taken into custody.
