ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( – Soccer is a staple in the St. Louis area and one group of kids is using their skills to help other kids in need.

About seven years ago, Brian Judy created ‘Kids 4 Kids,’ which hosts soccer tournaments with a purpose.

“One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to kids in need,” Judy said.

Since the kids are the ones playing in the event, naming the organization ‘Kids 4 kids’ made the most sense.

“Those kids are actually the ones doing the work,” said Judy. “We are the ones who organize it, they get to play…and they’re playing for these other kids.”

On Wednesday, at St. Peters City Hall, ‘Kids 4 Kids’ presented a $10,000 check to the ‘Friends of Kids with Cancer.’ All of the money was raised through the soccer tournament.

“If you meet the kids at our tournament it’s just amazing that they all know they’re helping a fellow kid,” said Perry Jackson, a member of the organization. “I walk around the soccer field and say ‘you know this goes to charity’ and they’re like, ‘Yeah, that’s why we’re here.’”

Judy can be reached via e-mail at, or through the ‘Kids 4 Kids’ website.
