ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A St. Charles woman was sentenced for trying to hire an undercover officer to kill another woman.

Sherri Densing, 35, of St., Charles will spend 30 years in prison.

Densing met with the undercover officer and stated she wanted him to kill the unnamed victim and her unborn child. Densing provided the officer with photographs of the victim and her vehicle, along with keys to the victim's car and residence. An agreement was met regarding payment at that time, police wrote in their probable cause statement.

Densing, who later reportedly admitted to the allegations in a taped interview, returned shortly after to give the officer money to pay for a gun and multiple vials of morphine, police say.

Densing  will serve 15 years in prison for the murder-for-hire plot and 15 years for distributing the morphine.
