FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The owner of 911 Salon spoke to News 4 one day after the store was broken into.

Owner Dellena Jones said her business was looted in August, 2014 causing thousands of dollars in losses because customers were afraid to stop by. Jones told News 4 she was able to take the boards off her business in February. Sunday night, the establishment was hit again.

“We hope this is one incident,” Jones said. “We just hope nothing else happens.”

Despite the salon being hit twice, Jones said she is still optimistic.

“They want things to change for the negative. So I just say to everyone let’s just keep moving on like this like it didn’t happen. Let’s keep being positive and embrace each other,” Jones said.

Since the unrest in August 2014, Jones has started housing classes at the salon for the community. The classes teach residents about local government and on how to vote.
