HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Hazelwood Police responded to a shooting southbound I-170, between 270 and Airport Road just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday. 

Officers discovered a black Infinity SUV on the right shoulder with several bullet holes in the driver's side of the vehicle.

Police found the 32-year-old male driver dead at the scene.  The driver has been identified as Brian A. Valley. 

The 31-year-old male passenger was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and back.

He is listed in critical condition. The passenger's name is not being released at this time. 

The victims were at a high school reunion party in the area of West Florissant and Dunn Road when an altercation occurred, authorities said.

The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad is currently investigating the homicide.
