ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Officer with the St. Louis Police Department are investigating an apparent armed robbery following a minor car accident near the St. Louis University campus Tuesday.

Police say the initial accident, which involved two vehicles, happened in the 700 block of S. Vandeventer just before 4:30 p.m. There was minor damage to both vehicles and neither requested an accident report.

Officials said the man in one of the vehicles called again shortly after regarding another incident with the second vehicle.

The 23-year-old victim was leaving the parking lot as the driver of the other vehicle pulled along the side of him.  The passenger displayed a firearm and demanded the victim pull over.

The suspect then opened the victim's car door and had him get out to search his pockets and the car's glove compartment. The suspect took the money and got back into the vehicle which fled east on Laclede.

Both suspects are still sought and the investigation is ongoing.
