OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Four children, ages 2, 2, 4 and 5, died during a late-night fire at a condominium complex in Osage Beach, Missouri Tuesday night.

Two adults and four children became trapped inside the Compass Pointe Condominiums, located on Red Bud Road, when it caught fire around 11:20 p.m., authorities said.  

When crews arrived on the scene they saw heavy fire on the fourth story of the eight unit complex, officials said. 

The adults, one man and a woman, were rescued by firefighters on the third story. The four children were trapped on the fourth floor.

Firefighters knocked down the fire and recovered the four children. They were transported from the scene but pronounced dead. 

The cause of the blaze is unknown.
