Teen shot, has bike stolen Monday afternoon

ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOV.com) – St. Louis police are investigating after a 15-year-old was shot during a robbery near North Broadway and Walter in north St. Louis Monday afternoon.

According to police, as the teen rode his bicycle down the street, a silver SUV with three suspects inside approached him. One of the suspects demanded the victim get off his bike. The teen attempted to run, however the same suspect chased him on foot, then fired shots his direction, hitting him in the leg.

The suspects then stole the bike and placed it in the vehicle. They were last seen driving south on Broadway. After the theft, the victim walked home, contacted police and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

The shooter was described as a 5 foot 11 inch tall African-American man. The victim stated the suspect had a muscular build and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. The other suspects were not seen by the victim.

The investigation is ongoing.
