Downtown 7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A downtown convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

According to police, a man in his 30’s robbed a 7-Eleven in the 200 block of North 17th Street around 5 a.m.

The suspect entered the store and made a purchase. When the cashier opened the drawer, the suspect showed a firearm and demanded all the money in the drawer. As the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed the money, the cashier ran to a back room.

The suspect is described as being roughly 6-foot tall, 200 pounds with a muscular build. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, red ball cap, black pants with black boxers hanging out of the top.

The investigation is ongoing.
