St. Louis woman charged after allegedly stealing $800 worth of clothing

ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOV.com) – A St. Louis woman was apprehended after stealing nearly $800 worth of clothing from the Lemay Ferry Road Old Navy in May.

According to police, 24-year-old, Kristin Boykin-Briggs and Lakesha Williams stole items throughout the store and concealed them in mesh bags.

After stealing the clothes both women walked out of the Old Navy and placed their bags in the trunk of a silver Chevrolet Malibu and drove away from the scene. St. Louis County police stopped the vehicle on northbound Interstate 55.

After being questioned about the incident both suspects admitted that the merchandise was in the trunk of the Malibu. A security officer from Old Navy who had witnessed the theft identified both woman he had seen stealing from the store.

Briggs has been charged with one count of a Class C felony. Williams has not yet been charged.
