ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – One man was killed and another is in critical condition after two separate shootings in St. Louis early Monday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., a man was found sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 4100 block of Bingham with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Police have identified the victim as 50-year-old Craig Simms of St. Louis.

Less than an hour later, a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his back outside of a vehicle on the Interstate 70 entrance ramp at Adelaide Avenue. The 21-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Two other men sustained minor injuries during the incident.

The two other victims told police they were in the area of Von Phul Street and Linton when an unknown suspect began following them and firing shots. The suspect vehicle chased the victims’ vehicle to Adelaide where gunshots were exchanged between the occupants of the two vehicles. Police recovered two firearms from the victims.

Less than a mile away from the shooting scene, in the 1100 block of Linton Avenue, an abandoned car was found with a bullet hole. Police said they believe the car is related to the shooting at Adelaide Avenue.

At this time, police have no suspects for either shootings.

Investigations are ongoing for both shootings.
