A toddler and bicyclist were among four victims shot at this weekend in three separate assaults throughout north St. Louis City.
The first incident happened Friday night when a 3-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man arrived at the hospital and told police they were shot while inside their vehicle. According to officers, the two victims were sitting in their car at the intersection of Goodfellow and Natural Bridge when another vehicle approached them. When the victim rolled down his window shots were fired from the passenger side of the suspect’s vehicle.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his foot while the toddler had a graze wound on his lower back. Both victim are in stable condition while police are still searching the area for any witnesses.
The second incident happened in the 4500 block of Greer just after 1 a.m. Saturday. A 55-year-old man was sitting on his porch when an unknown black male, in his early to mid-20s, approached the house while armed and demanded money.
The victim said he handed cash over when the suspect fired one shot back before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered a wound to his ankle and was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
A third incident involving a bicyclist happened before 5 a.m. Saturday. The victim, a 41-year-old black man, was riding his bike in the 900 block of Aubert when a gray 4-door vehicle pulled up and stopped beside him. The victim reported two of the four black males inside the car got out and began firing shots hitting the victim twice in his arm and once in the knee. He was taken to the hospital also listed in stable condition.
