Man faces child endangerment charges for missing Phelps Co. teens case

A Rolla man has been charged with child endangerment in relation to a case of two missing Phelps County teenagers.

On July 3, a missing and endangered person advisory was issued for Tania Bowman and Savannah Mitchell of Rolla, both 14 years old. The two girls were believed to be traveling to St. Louis and were found safe in a home in the 5900 block of Sherry in St. Louis on July 3.

Marcus D. Corey, 27, of Rolla allegedly endangered the welfare of the girls, according to police.

No details we released on how Corey was acquainted with the teenagers.

Corey was arrested on July 23 and is being held in Phelps County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
