FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KMOV.com) – Police responded to a shooting report early Monday morning in the 1000 block of highway TT outside of St. Clair.

According to police, the victim of the shooting was a 19-year-old resident. He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the left thigh.

At the time of the shooting four people were in the home, but only one person was struck. Witnesses reported that a vehicle drove past the residence and fired several shots at the trailer. Police say, approximately 16 rounds were fired into the residency

After speaking with eyewitnesses police believe the shooting may be connected to a drug transaction that occurred on Monday for a quarter pound of marijuana.  Information uncovered by Facebook conversations between the sellers and buyers showed a disagreement over payment.

The scene is still being investigated. Police are currently searching for two white male suspects. The victim has since been treated and released.
