Police concerned about fires in Webster Grove park

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police said they are concerned about four recent fires in Blackburn Park.

Police said the baby changing station in the women’s restroom was set on fire twice. A trash can was also set on fire near the main pavilion, damaging the building’s air conditioner and roof.

“It’s tying up resources, we’ve had to repaint the pavilion and the inside of the restrooms as we go the restrooms put back together we had another fire, so we’re doing it all over again,” Webster Groves Director of Parks and Recreation Scott Davis.

Officials said the fires have caused more than $3,000 in damage. Police are adding more patrols in the park.
