Identity found of man shot, killed in north St. Louis Sunday morning

NORTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed just before 3:00 a.m. in north St. Louis Sunday morning. 

Curtis Williams was in the area of 3000 North Newstead when the shooting occurred, police said.  

Officers responded to a call for a “shooting” and discovered Williams lying in a vacant lot, unconscious. Williams had sustained gunshot wounds to the buttocks, chest and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

This is the 109th homicide in the city of St. Louis this year.
