ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Authorities are investigating after a fire in north St. Louis was deemed "suspicious."

Firefighters were called to a home on Burd and Cote Brilliant after it caught fire around 3 a.m.  Crews were able to put the fire out but were called back to the home around 4:10 a.m.

According to Capt. Mosby, a firefighter sustained a burn during the first call. The firefighter received care at a medical facility and was released.

Investigators told News 4 it appears a burglary took place at the home before the fire started.

No other information has been released.
