ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A teenager was one of two people shot during separate incidents early Tuesday morning.

The 17-year-old had just opened the front door of a home in the 3400 block of Virginia when he heard multiple gunshots and was struck in the leg around 1:15 a.m.  Witnesses reported seeing two unknown suspects wearing dark clothing running from the area.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Less than 45 minutes later, a 24-year-old man was shot after declining to buy drugs from two men in the 3700 block of Minnesota.

After being shot, the victim went to the 3700 block of South Jefferson and called for help.

The victim told police he believes one of the suspects was the cousin of a woman he had an altercation with earlier in the night.

The victim’s blue Ford Mustang was taken during the incident, police said.

He was transported in stable condition.

No suspect descriptions have been released.

Both investigations are ongoing.
