CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man suspected of shooting his wife outside a Chesterfield nursing home Monday morning turned himself in to police.

Robert Yancey, 50, is accused of shooting his wife after a fight in the parking lot of Friendship Village, located in the 15200 block of Olive, around 6 a.m. The victim is an employee of the nursing home, police said.

The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, Yancey was last seen leaving the nursing home in a light blue 1998 Cadillac. Police warned residents that the suspect was considered “armed and dangerous.”

Yancey turned himself into police around 11:15 a.m on Monday and was charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action.

Authorities said Yancey is being held on $75,000 cash-only bond.
