Police believe overnight carjackings and robberies in North Co. are connected

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Several suspects armed with guns spent the overnight and early morning hours robbing and carjacking people in North County, according to the St. Louis County Police Department.

Authorities said four males suspects committed a carjacking in the 9300 block of Scottdale near the Buzz Westfall Shopping Center in Jennings around 11:45 p.m. Police said the suspects took the victim's gray Nissan Altima. The victim was not injured.

"As I'm going to get the baby out of the car on the back passenger side, both guns are pointed at me while I'm doing this," the victim said. She did not want to be identified. "A third guy hopped in the backseat, helping me get her out of the car seat."

According to police, four suspects carjacked a man near the intersection of Weyburn and St. Cyr around 3:50 a.m. The suspects stole a Mitsubishi Galant from a male victim who was not injured in the incident.

Police confirm another carjacking occurred in the 12000 block of Criterion around 4:20 a.m. 2-4 suspects took a Nissan Altima from a man who was not injured in the incident.

In all the carjackings, police believe the suspects had handguns or long guns.

Around 20 minutes later, 2-4 suspects robbed a woman at gunpoint at the ZX gas station in the 11000 block of Old Halls Ferry. Police believe the suspects drove up in several different stolen cars and robbed the woman of her purse, wallet, and ID.

No other information has been released by police.
