SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis police are searching for a suspect connected to several restaurant burglaries since September 2014.

Authorities said Jashua Henderson, 31, faces burglary charges for allegedly breaking into nine restaurants in south St. Louis, including the Meyers Grove Bar, Tamm Avenue Grill, Atomic Cowboy and Favazzas.

Surveillance cameras reportedly captured Henderson's activity inside the Meyers Grove Bar in February 2015.

"He broke in through the back door, came up to the front, jimmy opened a register, panicked with the alarm going off, and got away before police or anyone got here," said store owner Dan Stoner.

Police said Henderson managed to jump over a fence and escape, when officers attempted to make an arrest.

The investigation is ongoing.
