EAST ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – East St. Louis will have a new city manager after their current one was voted out of office Tuesday night.

According to the Belleville News Democrat, Tuesday night, the East St. Louis City Council voted unanimously to replace Deletra Hudson. Hudson had been with the city for five years.

The vote to replace Hudson was the second big move under East St. Louis Mayor Emeka Jackson-Hicks, who also appointed a new police chief this week. Jackson-Hicks became mayor after she beat two-term incumbent Alvin Parks in the April election.
