Suspects accused of kidnapping couple in Union

UNION, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Five suspects are in custody accused of kidnapping a husband and wife in Union, Missouri.

The 25-year-old husband and his 22-year-old wife told police they were lured to a residence in the 800 block of West Park and held at gunpoint by five people on Monday. The couple said their captors believed they had stolen items from them.

On Tuesday, after an investigation, police took William E. Gassner, 32, Calum C. Rogers, 25, Jeremy W. Barbarick, 34, Jimmie A. Reynolds, 32, and Lucas J. Reynolds, 27, into custody. Authorities said they seized five handguns, illegal drugs and cash from the suspects.

All five suspects are charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action. They are each being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
