(KMOV.com) – Police said two people are accused of stealing credit cards at local restaurants so they can commit identity theft.

Niki Johnson, 26, is facing felony theft charges. Police said she and a man who has yet to be charged stole a credit from the Trainwreck Saloon in Westport.  Trainwreck owner George Hansford said the man picked up a woman’s purse without getting up.

“He just slid it with his foot, the whole purse over with his foot,” said Hansford.

Police believe the two also hit bars in St. Louis City, Columbia, Mo. and Kansas City. Authorities said Johnson used the credit cards to generate false ID’s in the name of the cardholders.
