WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -
Teachers and upperclassmen at Webster Groves High School have developed a program called PACE for incoming freshmen so popular that students voluntarily sign up to participate.
PACE stands for Positive Attitudes Change Everything, which is a belief the program is based upon.
"Our theme is positive attitudes change everything, so if we start everybody off on the right foot and they're glad to be here and they know that we're happy to see them, then it's a place of joy for them to come to and that's what we're trying to build here," said Jenni Vanderwalker, a teacher and program coordinator.
Lessons from upperclassmen called Pacers, help calm incoming freshmens fears and encourage the start of a successful high school career.
