ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man was killed after being shot once in South City early Tuesday morning.  

The victim, 31-year-old Tadaro Taylor, was in the 3500 block of Bingham Avenue, near South Grand Boulevard, when he was shot once in the chest around 12:52 am.

Police found Taylor in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest. An investigation revealed Taylor was shot outside of his home and tried to drive himself to the hospital but lost consciousness in the vehicle.

He was transported to the hospital, but died after shortly after arriving.

Police have not released any information regarding a suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
