(KMOV.com) – Richmond Heights police said a man threatened to shoot the manager of the Cheesecake Factory inside the Galleria in a dispute over the bill.

Christopher Lewis of Wentzville has been charged with third degree assault and disorderly conduct.

A witness, who did want to reveal her identity, told News 4 Lewis was seated at a large nearby table with a big group and started complaining.

“They started complaining about things that were wrong, complaining because there was a french fry in his tortilla chips,” the witness said.

The witness said the complaints led to a huge commotion which included demands by Lewis that the meal be free.

“One of them wanted to speak to the manager and they kind of concerned him and they all surrounded him,” said the witness.

According to the police report, Lewis allegedly said “don’t make me get my gun.”

“I’m thinking I’m scared to death, and I can’t believe that I’m actually witnessing this. I was in a state of shock. I’m thinking ‘you’re seriously going to threaten a manager over a meal,” the witness said.

The witness told News 4 she then called police. However, she claims Lewis did not calm down with the arrival of officers.

“When he saw police come into the building he said ‘This is going down,” the witness told News 4.
