Low Severe Risk Overnight, Heat Advisory Continues Through Tuesday evening

Posted: Updated:

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Storms hit northeast of St. Louis this evening, but a weak front has yet to push through.  While chances are low, an isolated but strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out overnight.

Any storms that develop will move out of the area by Tuesday morning, mainly before 7:00 AM. Then it's back to the heat. While Tuesday’s humidity will be slightly lower, it will remain oppressive with a high in the upper 90s. The heat index will easily return to the low to mid 100s, with the higher readings around the Metro. A heat advisory continues across the metro through Tuesday evening.
