NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A headache turned into a medical emergency after a teenager suffered an aneurysm while on the road in north St. Louis County.

Charlotte Munns said her daughter, Debbie, has undergone two surgeries in the past week following a recent brain aneurysm diagnosis.

The 18-year-old reportedly experienced severe head pain while en route to pick up her mother from work. The teenager then pulled over to an auto repair lot near Lindbergh and New Florissant Road and collapsed.

"She said it felt like something just kept stabbing her in the head, and then she began to vomit," said Charlotte. "After we got to the hospital it got really serious."

The teen's mother said doctors also detected a blood clot in the teenager's leg.

"She's still fighting and we're praying and hoping that everything works out," said Charlotte.
